The Nyjer seed, also commonly called “thistle,” is a tiny, black seed that our suppliers grow in Ethiopia or India sterilised to prevent growth into the type of thistles gardeners will be all too familiar with. It is a premium seed especially enjoyed by Chickadees and Doves and provides a huge amount of protein per gram.
